 Tear of the Moon was recorded during the last month of 1986 and the early months of 1987, during the very quiet and creative hours between one a.m. and dawn. In this recording, Allen's primitive flutes and flowing compositions are processed simultaneously by Stramp's specialized recording equipment and techniques. With this unique live approach, both musicians are playing, processing, and co-composing - creating a powerful, interactive hybrid musical instrument. Over the years, Tear of the Moon has proven to be our best-selling album. The latest pressing features a revised cover and a bonus track, "Night Forest", from our first recording.
