Darv Averill grew up on a Dude Ranch located in the very northwest corner of Montana.

As a young man, taking out trail rides, hunting and fishing were very important activities in his life. In 1970 Darv became a member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association. For the next 15 years he roped calves and steers in every major rodeo in the Western United States and Canada. Having grown up on the ranch with numerous log buildings and log furnishings, Darv acquired an appreciation for hand-crafted log furniture. It was between the rodeos that Darv started working with the native woods constructing furniture. .

Using over 15 different types of wood harvested off the family ranch, woodworking was a natural for Darv. After retiring from the rodeo circuit in 1986, Darv began making furniture full time. Now you can choose from over 100 original designs, all hand-crafted and hand signed.
